Was Christopher Dorner Telling the Truth? Las Vegas Author's New Book Points to Tradition of LAPD Corruption
Published on Wed, Feb 13, 2013 (7:05 a.m.)Now that the investigation into ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner's original complaint has been reopened, you may be looking for experts to provide commentary on your news shows. Coincidentally, our client and Las Vegas resident Bradley Kuhns, an ex-LAPD polygraph expert, has authored a book coming out this week detailing the corruption he tried to expose in the 1980s. In LAPD EXPOSED, Brad particularly focuses on the LAPD’s Internal Affairs Department (IAD), the same department that Dorner claimed had him fired in order to silence him.
Please call or email me if you would like to speak with Bradley Kuhns. He's an articulate, passionate and professional person. This is the book's summary as it appears on the jacket of LAPD EXPOSED:
Bradley Kuhns was a regular guy who happened to be very good at his job. That was the trouble—he was too good. Even worse, he was honest. A smart, exceptionally skilled polygraph examiner with more than one PhD, Kuhns felt honored to enter the ranks of the elite Los Angeles Police Department. He soon discovered, though, that by the 1980s when he joined LAPD the polygraph section was coasting on its reputation, filled with marginally competent examiners who routinely manipulated and falsified the results of lie detector exams in exchange for gifts of cash and liquor. Promotions were handed to those who played along, while the few who didn’t might find themselves on the losing end of an “unfortunate accident.”
Brad Kuhns offers a disturbing memoir that details the intimidation, threats and attempts on his life. With his heart on his sleeve, he chronicles the toll the stress took on his health and weighs the heavy burden of fear and torment suffered by the women close to him. Kuhns ultimately went into hiding for two decades with only a select few trustworthy souls knowing the full extent of his chilling, touching story—until now.
