The closure of Nevada Cancer Institute last week is a sad and unfortunate conclusion to what was a great idea and a heroic effort on the part of many talented people.
Beginning with founder Heather Murren’s visionary and determined advocacy for a world-class cancer facility to serve Las Vegans and continuing through years of high-quality, empathetic care from physicians, nurses and staff, NVCI has served many of my Caesars Entertainment colleagues well during very challenging times.
I extend my thanks, and those of all my co-workers at Caesars, to everyone at NVCI. We have been proud to support the institute from the beginning and will miss it. I hope the institute’s patients will find alternative sources of care that can meet the high standards of medical excellence, hospitality and kindness that NVCI established over the years.
