Beyonce, right, with 2013 Miss America Mallory Hytes Hagan, meets the media — and sings the national anthem — in New Orleans on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, ahead of Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday.

It’s been a meteoric three weeks for former waitress Mallory Hytes Hagan since she won the 2013 Miss America Pageant here at Planet Hollywood on Jan. 12.
First the whirlwind week in New York appearing on more than 10 TV shows, and then jetting to New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII events where she became the belle of the bowl.
Mallory joked that in a flash, she’d gone from waiting tables at Lure Fish Cafe in Manhattan serving Beyonce and hip-hop mogul husband Jay-Z to posing with Beyonce, this year’s Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show headliner, for pre-halftime concert photos.
Mallory met stars and sports personalities with her day on Radio Row at the Super Bowl. Las Vegas contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was with her every step of the way for today’s extraordinary photo gallery.
On the eve of Super Bowl Sunday, the NFL traditionally hosts Taste of the NFL, its gala VIP party with a purpose to combat hunger. Mallory co-hosted the silent auction, signed autographs, mingled with guests and sports legends and posed for photos with chefs from every NFL city.
Since 1992, the Taste of the NFL has rallied the country’s top chefs and the NFL’s greatest to raise money in support of U.S. food banks. Through the efforts of hundreds of volunteers who help make Taste of the NFL the most successful charitable event at the Super Bowl, the program continues to help feed the 37 million Americans who have turned to local food banks for assistance.
Mallory, who correctly predicted the Baltimore Ravens win, flew Monday from Louisiana to L.A. and today is flipping pancakes at IHOP for National Pancake Day. Miss America contestants across the country are doing the same. IHOP donates the pancakes to customers for free in exchange for a donation to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Although CMN co-founder Marie Osmond is on tour in England during a break from her Strip shows at the Flamingo, she tweeted this morning to fans encouraging them to visit their neighborhood IHOP. She set a goal of $3 million for donations.
Here locally, Miss Nevada Randi Sundquist and Miss Nevada’s Outstanding Teen Ellie Smith worked at IHOP next to Nellis Air Force Base.
Incidentally after their smash-hit, sold-out British concert tour, Donny and Marie return to the Flamingo next Tuesday for a run through June 21, and they’ve told fans that they will remain at the Flamingo for at least another year.

Catering to the young and modern crowd, Planet Hollywood is a one-stop shop for entertainment with its massive shopping mall, slew of restaurants, spacious casino and clubs.
The ambiance of the casino is retro-chic meets high-tech with black granite floors throughout and colorful LED lights throughout the space. The theme carries into the 100,000 square-foot casino with 250 flat screens topping off slot machines. The casino is also home to 87 tables, a sports book and a poker room.
There's also the Miracle Mile Shops, one Vegas' largest malls, with 140 stores including BCBG Max Azaria, bebe, Urban Outfitters and The Discovery Channel Store.
Following an afternoon of shopping, guests can satisfy their appetites at one of the gourmet restaurants in Planet Hollywood, like the non-traditional approach to steakhouses at Strip House or check out the exotic Far East motif at KOI restaurant and lounge. And if guests are still looking for more, they can spend the after hours at Privé, Triq or Krave nightclubs.
Perhaps one of the resorts biggest attractions came in March with the addition of "Peepshow." The naughty twist on the story of Little Bo Peep is modern-day spin on the run-of-the-mill Vegas topless review. The "Peepshow" stage has seen visiting celebs like Scary Spice Mel B, "Dancing with the Stars" Kelly Monaco and Playboy's Holly Madison.
