A deal between pop princess Britney Spears and Caesars Entertainment using the 7,400-seat PH Live theater at Planet Hollywood is inching closer to reality. Vegas DeLuxe learned exclusively over the weekend that if signed, the deal will be for two years and guarantee the superstar a minimum $30 million payday.
Just 10 weekend dates divide the two camps in the negotiations. I am reliably told that Caesars Entertainment, which would promote Britney’s concerts at the Base Entertainment-owned theater, has offered a 35-weekend residency of dates over two years. However, Britney’s management and agents have countered with a request to perform 45 weekends.
The proposed deal also calls for Britney’s appearances at Caesars Entertainment nightclub properties and its high-roller venues. It is important to point out that no deal is yet done, but negotiations are continuing -- with both parties agreeing that they’d like it to come to fruition. Britney would start her concerts later this year in tandem with the launch of her album currently being recorded.
Meantime, her collaboration with Will.I.Am on “Scream & Shout” is her 30th hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 (it’s currently No. 3), and the YouTube video has eclipsed 115 million views -- she’s still a box-office blockbuster.
The pop star’s ex-fiance and agent, Jason Trawick, partied over the weekend at Surrender Nightclub in Steve Wynn’s Encore to check out the DJ set by Swedish house sensation Eric Prydz. He was nominated for a Grammy Award on Sunday night for his remix of M83’s “Midnight City” in the Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical category but didn’t win.
The two apparently bonded. Jason tweeted, “Not only an amazing DJ, but also a great human being! So glad we became friends. Thanks for an awesome time.”
Vegas DeLuxe will continue to monitor the continuing Britney negotiations.

Catering to the young and modern crowd, Planet Hollywood is a one-stop shop for entertainment with its massive shopping mall, slew of restaurants, spacious casino and clubs.
The ambiance of the casino is retro-chic meets high-tech with black granite floors throughout and colorful LED lights throughout the space. The theme carries into the 100,000 square-foot casino with 250 flat screens topping off slot machines. The casino is also home to 87 tables, a sports book and a poker room.
There's also the Miracle Mile Shops, one Vegas' largest malls, with 140 stores including BCBG Max Azaria, bebe, Urban Outfitters and The Discovery Channel Store.
Following an afternoon of shopping, guests can satisfy their appetites at one of the gourmet restaurants in Planet Hollywood, like the non-traditional approach to steakhouses at Strip House or check out the exotic Far East motif at KOI restaurant and lounge. And if guests are still looking for more, they can spend the after hours at Privé, Triq or Krave nightclubs.
Perhaps one of the resorts biggest attractions came in March with the addition of "Peepshow." The naughty twist on the story of Little Bo Peep is modern-day spin on the run-of-the-mill Vegas topless review. The "Peepshow" stage has seen visiting celebs like Scary Spice Mel B, "Dancing with the Stars" Kelly Monaco and Playboy's Holly Madison.
