A climber who fell at Red Rock National Conservation Area early Wednesday has been transported to an area hospital, according to Metro Police.
A report was received about 11:40 a.m. of a male in his 20s who had fallen while scaling The Hamlet, a climbing wall in the conservation area, Officer Laura Meltzer said.
Three off-duty paramedics happened to be there rock climbing, too, and provided medical attention to the climber until a search and rescue team arrived, Meltzer said.
The climber was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and there was no indication his injuries were life threatening, Meltzer said.
“It doesn’t appear as though it was a far fall,” Meltzer said. “It looks like he just couldn’t get out on his own.”
