A Las Vegas woman was arrested Friday for allegedly running a fraudulent documents lab from her home, Homeland Securities Assistant Special Agent Michael Harris said.
Homeland Security officers served a search warrant about 12:30 p.m. at the suspect’s home in the 2000 block of Walnut Avenue, near Eastern Avenue and Bonanza Road, authorities said.
Inside, officers found thousands of fraudulent documents, blank U.S. Social Security cards, fake Nevada driver’s licenses, Mexican birth certificates and fraudulent tax forms, Harris said.
Harris said there were also laminating machines, cameras and other equipment used to produce the documents.
The woman was taken into custody without incident and was being booked into Clark County Detention Center.
Harris could not confirm charges pending against the woman.
Homeland Security is continuing to investigate the operation to determine if there are other suspects, officials said.
