It’s been another star-studded week in The Entertainment Capital of the World.
Flamingo headliner and talk-show host Marie Osmond surprised a newlywed couple dining at the casino hotel’s Center Cut Steakhouse, but the superstar singer actually ate the surprise dessert before she got to their table.
Marie walked over with a plate, but only leftover brownie crumbs remained. “I had a dessert for you, but it was so delish, I just had to eat it,” Marie laughed. The couple joined in the laughter and were thrilled when Marie joined them for a souvenir photo -- and then picked up their check.
Four-time Olympic gold-medal winner Matt Grevers and 30 of his closest friends celebrated his bachelor party at the Palms. The 6’9” swimmer and his pals started the party at GhostBar Dayclub. Matt’s entourage included fellow Olympic swimmers Ricky Berens, Mike Alexandrov, Nathan Adrian, Jean Basson, Clark Burckle and Bobby Hurley. Later, the stag party continued on to Moon, where the group popped bottles until the wee hours.
Matt proposed to girlfriend Annie Chandler in February 2012 after winning the USA Swimming Grand Prix. The proposal captured on video became a YouTube sensation. Matt tweeted a photo of his entourage at the Palms: “Best Bachelor Party Ever!!!”
Supermodel Tyra Banks, host and producer of the long-running “America’s Next Top Model,” dined with a small group at Executive Chef Scott Green’s Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace. Tyra joins a list of celebrities who have recently dined at the celebrated, 500-item Bacchanal Buffet, including Bradley Cooper, Kristen Bell, Gordon Ramsay, CeeLo Green and Giada De Laurentiis.
Planet Hollywood headliner CeeLo (“Loberace”) took his family to The Mob Museum Downtown and posed with guest services team member Antonn Mitchell after their tour.
Reality TV star Michael Stagliano of “The Bachelorette” and winner of “Bachelor Pad” Season 2 was spotting at gaming tables at The D Hotel.
Reality TV star Dina Manzo, formerly of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” who last month announced her separation from her husband on Twitter, had a girls night out at Andrea’s in Steve Wynn’s Encore before moving onto adjoining Surrender. No cameras were rolling, but Dina is shooting a new reality TV series about her post-divorce life for “Today” weatherman Al Roker’s production company. Also at Andreas: 6’6” Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Richard Seymour dined in a party of four.
Stratosphere headline singer Frankie Moreno finally got to take members of his band to see Claire Sinclair and her cast of “Pin Up” in his showroom after his own performance. There had been hiccups or friction with another “Pin Up” producer on opening night when he was unable to get tickets. Claire’s role model, legendary burlesque queen Tempest Storm, and Bettie Page fashion designer Tatyana also attended.
Actress Anne Heche attended Donny & Marie at the Flamingo, while Phil Burton of The Venetian headliners Human Nature watched Blue Man Group at Monte Carlo.
While here for Rock ’n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, Sammy Hagar paid a surprise visit to his Cabo Wabo Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops of Planet Hollywood with his wife Kari, their daughter and friends. An hour later, he surprised diners and jumped onstage with Cash Presley to play “Born to be Wild” and “American Woman.” He stayed for two hours, posed for photos and mingled with friends and family on the patio overlooking the Strip.
Paris Las Vegas headliner singer Taylor Hicks has become a regular at nearby Gordon Ramsay Steak. The “American Idol” Season 5 winner took a group there for Gordon’s favorite beer Innis & Gunn, blackberry sage iced tea and appetizers. Taylor also enjoyed fried Blue Point oysters, Caesar salad, a rib-eye steak and a baked potato.
Two-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir was at Club Tattoo in Miracle Mile for work on an Asian-themed full back piece by Japanese artist Wakako.
Grammy Award-winning trio Naughty by Nature celebrated 22 years of hip-hop at LAX in Luxor. They relaxed for 30 minutes after their 1 a.m. arrival, greeting fans on the dance floor and then kicked off their show with “O.P.P.,” tossing out stickers into the crowd. Their mini-set also included “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” “Uptown Anthem,” “Feel Me Flow” and “Hip Hop Hooray.”
Rapper Macklemore, DJ Nero and Syrian Olympic swimmer Azad Albarazi hung out separately at Body English in The Hard Rock Hotel. Macklemore also partied at Tao in The Venetian, where he performed his hit “Thrift Shop.” Also at Tao: Matt Grevers and his never-ending weekend bachelor party.

Transport yourself to the opulent and excessive Roman Empire at Caesars Palace. But the ever-changing Caesars Palace is far from ancient. The hotel and casino is constantly raising the bar for what visitors can expect in a Vegas resort experience.
Caesars Palace features 3,348 rooms and suites in five towers, including the new luxury boutique Nobu Hotel and Restaurant, which opened Feb. 4, 2013, in the totally remodeled Centurian Tower. Caesars features 129,000 square feet of gaming space, including the Strip’s largest poker room and a 250-seat sports book. Other amenities include about two dozen restaurants, a four-level shopping mall, four pools, a spa, Pure and Poetry nightclubs and Pussycat Dolls.
Dining options include restaurants from world-renown chefs Guy Savoy, Wolfgang Puck, Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsay and, on Feb. 4, 2013, Nobu Matsuhisa.
You never know what characters you’ll run into at Caesars with regular performers like Jerry Seinfeld, Bette Midler, Elton John and maybe even the emperor himself.
Catering to the young and modern crowd, Planet Hollywood is a one-stop shop for entertainment with its massive shopping mall, slew of restaurants, spacious casino and clubs.
The ambiance of the casino is retro-chic meets high-tech with black granite floors throughout and colorful LED lights throughout the space. The theme carries into the 100,000 square-foot casino with 250 flat screens topping off slot machines. The casino is also home to 87 tables, a sports book and a poker room.
There's also the Miracle Mile Shops, one Vegas' largest malls, with 140 stores including BCBG Max Azaria, bebe, Urban Outfitters and The Discovery Channel Store.
Following an afternoon of shopping, guests can satisfy their appetites at one of the gourmet restaurants in Planet Hollywood, like the non-traditional approach to steakhouses at Strip House or check out the exotic Far East motif at KOI restaurant and lounge. And if guests are still looking for more, they can spend the after hours at Privé, Triq or Krave nightclubs.
Perhaps one of the resorts biggest attractions came in March with the addition of "Peepshow." The naughty twist on the story of Little Bo Peep is modern-day spin on the run-of-the-mill Vegas topless review. The "Peepshow" stage has seen visiting celebs like Scary Spice Mel B, "Dancing with the Stars" Kelly Monaco and Playboy's Holly Madison.
